The weather has brightened so out comes your trusty Rotary Washing Line – but it won’t open! Why? This is one of the most common questions our team at the Home Laundry Company is asked at this time of year.
The answer’s simple. Rotary Airers can get tangled when they are stored away or collapsed hastily in bad weather. Most commonly, it’s because the clothes lines have got looped over one or more of the arms.
All Home Laundry Company Rotary Washing Lines have a special Velcro strip that secures the arms of the rotary in place to avoid any tangles occurring in the clothes line when the product is not in use. However, when it suddenly starts to rain or blow a gale, and you’re in a hurry to bring your washing in, this is easily overlooked – even we forget sometimes!
So, we have put together this easy five-step guide that will show you exactly what to do if your Rotary ever gets in a tangle.
Open your Rotary Washing Line as far as it will go.
Check the end of each arm for any loops or tangles.
Once you’ve found the problem, lower the tension.
Undo the loop or tangle.
Sometimes there can be more than one tangle causing the problem. So if the first attempt doesn’t fix it, then repeat the process until it does.
There you go… problem solved!
